Chocolate Fat Bombs

Chocolate Fat Bombs- or as I like to call them Chocolate Fat Noms.

The idea of eating fat and losing weight is something to get used to but, hey, I'll try anything once. Over the last few months, due to being lazy, eating fast food and some medication I'm on, I've picked up more weight than I'd like to admit. So when various family members started banting and lost a lot of weight, I decided I'll give it a go. So I'll post some of the recipes I make and let you know how my progress goes along. I need to find motivation to exercise again, which I'm hoping will hit me really soon.

First in the banting series is fat bombs. I've made these ones and they are really nice and do take my hunger away in between meals. I am still working on kicking my sugar habit so it's hard for me not to have a chocolate a day. At my worst, I was having a Burger King medium meal with a Pepsi and either a chocolate or packet of chips (or both) a day. So my sugar tooth has been busy. This obviously needs to stop, but telling myself to stop is easier than doing it when you at work, stressed and all you want is a little pick-me-up. So I take some fat bombs with me to work to trick my mind into thinking I've had a chocolate bar. But as you'll see by the nutritional facts of this recipe, little to no carbs and since I'm using Xylitol, the sugar content is non-existent.

Recipe to make about 24 fat bombs:

185 g, Coconut Oil
50 g Almond Nut Butter
25 g Xylitol (I used 5 packets of single servings)
3 tbsp, Cocoa, unsweetened
125 g, Butter - Salted
3 tsp Vanilla Essence

Combine and put them into a pot
Add to heat and let the ingredients melt
Mix well and when it starts bubbling take it off the heat

I then poured the mixture into a measuring cup that has a lip so that pouring the liquid into the moulds wouldn't mess. I used normal ice cube moulds.

I then put the moulds into the freezer overnight.
In the morning, I popped them out of the moulds and put them into a tupperware container in the kitchen.

Enjoy!
