Smartwatches
I am probably one of the biggest Apple supporters. I love their products. For me it was a really tough decision to get the Samsung Note 4 because I have had the last 4 iPhones. I landed up getting the Note 4 because of it's pen basically. Because I do a lot of diagrams, this would make instant changes in meetings a breeze. So because of this decision, the new Apple iWatch wasn't really going to work for me.
A while ago I got the Cookoo Watch. It was cool, but big and a little buggy. I got the Fitbit Flex, and while it works well to track steps, exercise, sleep etc that's all it does.
I found that all the watches that offered what I was looking for only really started at about R4000. For a toy (that's basically what it is when it comes down to it) that's a little much to spend. I'm sure once it becomes as necessary as a phone, we'll all be happy to spend the same on our smart watch as we do our smart phone.
I found a Swiss product called the MyKronoz ZeWatch2. Just look at how pretty it is:
Here's what I got in the box
- Charger
- Manual
- Watch
So this is an iOS, Android and Windows Phone watch, yay for a multi-platform :)
What can this thing do
- Tells the time (say what!!!!)
- Answer, reject and end calls. The calls can actually come through the watch itself.
- Caller ID
- SMS notification
- Voice control for Siri or Google Now.
- You can stream music to the watch
- Pedometre
- Distance travelled
- Calories burnt
- Sleep tracking
- Reminders
- And a really cool anti-lost alert for when you are more than 10 metres from your phone
- Charge time: 90 minutes
- Battery life: 3 Days
- Water resistant? NOOOOOOOO!
- Warranty? 1 Year.
Setup
It's supposed to be easy. It was a little tricky. I think that had to do with my laptop though more than anything else. If you struggle with it, comment and I'll help out if I can.
I got mine from mentality.co.za for R1299. (Not paid advert, just helping you find one)
LLAP for now!
